Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing accounting operations within the freight forwarding industry? We are seeking an Executive – Accounts with around 3 years of experience to oversee daily accounting activities, ensure accurate billing and cost recording, manage receivables and payables, and support month-end closures. A strong understanding of industry-specific documentation, taxation, vendor coordination, and reconciliation is essential. Your expertise will play a key role in strengthening our organization’s financial integrity and supporting its long-term strategic growth.

Your responsibilities as an Executive Accounts

As an Executive – Accounts, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient management of day-to-day accounting operations within the freight forwarding industry. This includes handling accounts payable/receivable, billing, reconciliation of freight and operational expenses, vendor coordination, and maintaining accurate financial records aligned with industry standards.
You will oversee timely posting of transactions, preparation of invoices and credit notes, monitoring outstanding payments, and ensuring all accounting entries are properly supported with documentation. Your responsibilities also include managing bank reconciliations, supporting monthly closing activities, and ensuring adherence to statutory and organizational accounting policies. Your role will also involve coordinating with internal stakeholders, operations teams, and external partners to ensure accuracy in freight-related billing, job costing, and expense verification. You will support the preparation of financial reports, MIS statements, and audit schedules, contributing to efficient financial analysis and decision-making.

Additionally, you will participate in process improvements by leveraging digital tools and automation to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and overall efficiency in accounting operations. You will maintain strong controls over reconciliations, documentation, and reporting to support a transparent and audit-ready environment.

Furthermore, you will assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews while ensuring alignment of accounting data with financial records. Working closely with the Finance team, you will contribute to strengthening the organization’s financial governance, operational accuracy, and long-term financial discipline.

Your profile as an Executive Accounts

You are detail-oriented, organized, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy while managing multiple accounting tasks. You are proactive in resolving discrepancies, efficient in handling industry-specific billing and documentation, and confident in supporting audits and financial reporting.
Furthermore, you have:
•     B. Com degree or a postgraduate qualification in Accounts/Finance.
•     Around 3 years of experience in Accounts, preferably within the freight forwarding or     logistics industry.
•     Strong knowledge of accounting processes including billing, receivables, payables, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
•     Hands-on experience with Tally, SAP, or other ERP/accounting systems.
•            Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to financial reporting and documentation.

You will handle daily accounting entries, maintain accurate financial records, and support month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with accounting standards. Your role also involves coordinating with internal teams, resolving billing or documentation discrepancies, and supporting audits through proper record maintenance. You will analyse financial data, assist in generating management reports, and contribute to improving accounting processes and system efficiencies across the organization.
This position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in industry-specific processes, and the ability to work confidently with cross-functional teams, auditors, and external partners.
